Ben McCullough is a lifelong Ohioan who grew up in the small town of Edon, located in Northwest Ohio. Between 2005 and 2009, Ben attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and graduated with a degree in Political Science. He then earned a Master’s in International Comparative Politics from Wright State University in 2014. Since 2011, Ben has called the Miami Valley home. In 2015, he married the love of his life, Kristi and they have lived in Miamisburg since that time with their dog, Charlie.
A lifelong believer in service, Ben enlisted in the United States Army in 2010, and currently holds the rank of SSG/Staff Sergeant. During his nine years in the Army, Ben has served in wide a variety of units including the 323rd Military Police Company (Toledo, Ohio), HHC 1-148th Infantry (Walbridge, Ohio), Charlie Co 1-148th Infantry (Tiffin, Ohio) Alpha BTRY 1-134th FA RGT (Delaware Ohio). After serving six years in the Ohio Army National Guard, Ben transitioned over to the United States Army Reserves and is currently serving with an Army Reserve unit stationed out of WPAFB.
Outside of the military, Ben is an analyst with an IT consulting company, working as a contractor for the United States Government since 2013. Ben also enjoys running and participates in many local events including the United States Air Force Half Marathon, Miamisburg Turkey Trot, Buckeye 4 Miler, and Free 4 Miler on the Fourth in Miamisburg. He is also a member of the Dayton Chapter of Team RWB, and is a volunteer with the Dayton Human Society and Miami Valley Military History Museum. Ben is driven to make a positive difference, and wants to get to know and work with others who are also interested in finding ways to strengthen our community.
